WILLIAMSBURG, Va.-Williamsburg, the licensed products brand of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, recognized select licensees as part of the brand's licensing meeting here earlier this week.
Awards were distributed to licensees in six categories. The Williamsburg Marketing Award was presented to Pratt & Lambert for introducing an ASID-accredited course about Williamsburg paint. This course focused on the Williamsburg historic paint colors and design inspiration from the 18th century was created for interior designers.
The Exceptional New Product Award was given to Reed & Barton for the Farmyard Friends baby collection. Inspired by Colonial Williamsburg's Rare Breeds program, this comprehensive baby line featured a first for the Williamsburg license: a water globe featuring young animals circling an 18th-century Williamsburg hen house to the tune of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm."
The Williamsburg Collaboration Award was presented to C&F Enterprises, Andrea by Sadek and Byers' Choice for bringing Williamsburg to QVC. C&F's Williamsburg bedding, tableware, rugs and pillows were available on QVC, along with Andrea by Sadek's china conta iners, accessories and tea set, and Byers' Choice collectible carolers.
The "Took the Ball and Ran with It" Award was presented to Andrea by Sadek for development of the Blue in Bloom Collection. The collection of floral containers and gifts, characterized by America's 300-year interest in blue and white china, features striking flowers, leaves and birds from British delftware.
Finally, the Trend Meets Tradition Award was presented to P.K. Lifestyles for reinvigorating classic designs with fresh color and moderate pricing for patterns with a contemporary look and feel.
