WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.—Increased use of NYIGF.com, the website of the New York International Gift Fair, has driven increases in preregistration for the show, product searches and appointment settings, according to a statement from GLM, the show’s owner and manager.
Since last Nov. 1, the site has generated 1.6 million page views, GLM said, resulting in 2,500 leads directly to exhibitors. To date, site visitors from 75 countries have conducted more than 64,000 product searches, about 84,000 referrals directly to exhibitor websites and more than 500 customized “walking lists” and “walking maps”—the latter being tools that went live on Jan. 4.
NYIGF has also introduced a mobile application, nygift.mwap.at, which allows users access to its exhibitor-search function on handheld devices. This application is integrated with smart-phone platforms including iPhone, Blackberry and Android. The Gift Fair website has also been adapted for easier mobile access before, during and after the market.
