Texworld USA Posts 21 Percent Attendance Increase
FRANKFURT, Germany--The July edition of Texworld USA recorded a 21 percent rise in attendance to 3,390, the largest attendance total in its nine-year history, according to a statement from show owner and manager Messe Frankfurt.
The show, which took place in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, turned in a 16 percent jump in attendees over the July 2008 Texworld, which had been the largest attendance total. The show also had 285 exhibitors from 16 countries, Messe Frankfurt said.
The July Texworld occurred at the Javits Center along with the first International Apparel Sourcing Show and the Home Textiles Fabric Sourcing Expo. "Co-locating these three shows creates a sourcing destination in New York for the apparel and home soft-goods categories, enabling us to serve even more buyers and designers with our events," said David Audrain, president and chief executive officer of Messe Frankfurt North America.
