Tejeda Named 2012 President of IFDA New York Chapter

       

       

NEW YORK-Claudia Giselle Tejeda, owner of Claudia Giselle Design, has been appointed 2012 president of the New York chapter of the International Home Furnishings and Design Association.

Tejeda succeeds public-relations consultant Wendy Silverstein. In addition, Penny Sikalis, vice president of GLM, has been named treasurer. Journalist and author Jean Nayar has become recording secretary, and Linda Kulla, vice president of Bardwil’s bath division, has been designated director at large.

The new board of directors includes Claire Coleman, honorary advisor; Hermine Mariaux, future directions; Su Hilty and Andrea Algaze, awards and recognition; Christine Abbate and Cathy Guterman, communications; Susan Hirsh and Michelle Slovak, education; Rose Gilbert, membership retention; Maria Malpica, membership recruitment; Kara Marmion, programs; Jessica Tolliver, publications; and Lauren Miele, student liaison. Rose Hittmeyer is the office administrator.
