WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-Art and design licensing show Surtex has launched its new branding initiative, which includes a revamped Web site, a new logo and a new marketing campaign.
"Our newly released brand positioning sets an energetic pace for the coming decade, which looks brighter than ever for the industry," said Penny Sikalis, GLM vice president and show manager. "It's a crucible, the place where designers and licensees come together to fashion a host of products that add style and beauty to people's lives around the globe."
Scheduled for May 16-18, 2010, Surtex now has a logo that incorporates trend-setting graphics and bold colors to draw attention to the "power of design," according to GLM. The Web site, surtex.com, has also been redesigned to integrate the new branding and to enhance function, and features include streaming industry news, up-to-date exhibitor images and show updates.
Ads for the show will begin appearing this month, both online and in print. In addition, its On the Surface newsletter will publish on a monthly basis.
"We're excited about the new brand platform because it better reflects Surtex and its direction for the future," Sikalis said. "What you see is where we are: front and center of the industry. It's an exhilarating place to be as we head into the second decade of the 21st Century."
