Surtex Adds Speakers to Conference Program
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-Surtex has slated additional speakers for its conference program, which is titled "Distinct Business Strategies from a Creative Perspective: intelligence for Manufacturers, Designers and Retailers."
As previously stated, the program will be in three tracks. It will open with Track One, "Basics: Monetizing Your Creativity," on May 18, which will be led by Penny Sikalis, Surtex's vice president. Track Two, on May 19 and titled "Deep Dive: Legal and Product Intel," will be led by Janet Racy, president of Janet Racy & Co. Track Three, titled "High Level: Strategies for Business Growth," is scheduled for May 20 and will be led by Jennifer Castoldi, CEO and chief director of Trendease International.
Among the sessions, Tristan Goodfellow, partner with Diane Harrison Studio, will join Dan Nazario, owner of Creativo, in "Business Model: Selling Art & Design" on May 18. "Category Gurus: Textiles & Home Fashion" on May 19 will also include Angela Boswell, vice president of product design and development for Ellery HomeStyles; Tonya Bott, art director for Saturday Knight Ltd.; and David Cipperman, creative director for Croscill. "Category Gurus: Paper & Stationery," also on May 19, will now include Carol Dierckes, vice president of sales and marketing for Crown Point Graphics; and Diane Harper, executive vice president and creative director for Sullivan Paper Co.
"Category Gurus: Tabletop, Gift & Home Decor," also on May 19, has added to its speaker slate Judy Labins; design and creative director of Boston International; and Dorothy Lierman, executive head of merchandising of Tervis. Added to "Building a Powerhouse Brand" on May 20 are Lauren Sizeland, director of business development and licensing for V&A Licensing; and John Haesler, partner with MHS Licensing + Consulting.
"Interpreting & Using Trends to Create Winning Products," also on May 20, will now feature Tod Schulman, creative director of Pantone Color Institute. Also on May 20, "Successful Expansion Through Strategic Initiatives" will include Trish DiPette, former senior vice president of licensing at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
