Pacific Coast Feather Plant Hit by Tornado
SEATTLE-Pacific Coast Feather's mattress-pad manufacturing facility in Wayne, Neb., was struck by a tornado early Friday evening.
Because the tornado hit after operating hours, none of the 137 people who work at the factory were injured. A Pacific Coast Feather statement said much of the facility was destroyed by the tornado. The statement added that the company is working with its domestic and international supply chain and customers to minimize interruptions in meeting customers' product needs.
Joe Crawford, president and CEO, said, "Fortunately, we have multiple options throughout our supply chain. While there will be some short-term disruption, we do not anticipate this being an issue beyond that."
