WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–Beginning next month, the New York International Gift Fair will hold 100 Days of Design, an initiative that is intended to connect the show’s attendees with design resources.
The program, which will begin on Oct. 20, will feature a 100 Days of Design blog, which will present daily guest posts during the weekdays, and which will be written by NYIGF exhibitors and design authorities. The blog will encourage industry participation and will be promoted through Gift Fair marketing and social-media channels.
A second element of 100 Days of Design will be the Accent on Design awards retrospective, which will be presented at the winter NYIGF, Jan. 28-Feb. 2, 2012. This will display images of the companies, designers and products that have received the awards since Accent on Design was launched in 1984.
Other facets of the program will include design-focused seminars, author appearances, networking events and a special display. Details and a complete schedule of the events will be available in early October.
