NY Now Reports "Robust" Registration for Winter Show
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-As of today, more than 15,000 people have registered to attend the winter NY Now, according to a statement from show owner and manager GLM.
Christian Falkenberg, director of the show and GLM senior vice president, said this total is more than double the number of buyers who registered for show (then known as the New York International Gift Fair) at this time last year. "We are experiencing huge registration gains this winter, as a result of both proactive retailer outreach and online registration system improvements," Falkenberg said.
According to the GLM statement, retailers who have registered so far cited NY Now's new layout, which is intended to make the show easier to shop, and the overall benefits of New York City as a market destination as motivators for their attendance.
The winter NY Now also has confirmed more than 2,000 exhibitors, of which more than 250 will be new to the show. The show is scheduled for Feb. 1-6, 2014, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Pier 94 of the Passenger Ship Terminal in New York City.
