NY Now Programs to Offer Trend Information, Business Advice
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-More than 40 educational seminars will be among the activities slated for the summer debut of NY Now, the rebranded New York International Gift Fair.
According to Christian Falkenberg, director of the show and senior vice president of GLM, the seminars will provide "relevant trend information and actionable business advice." The seminar series will complement NY Now's four product collections: Handmade, Home, Lifestyle and New.
The Handmade seminar series will be six "power hour" sessions on social media, content creation, publicity, video marketing and other topics, and will be hosted by Craft Retailers & Artists for Tomorrow (CRAFT). The Home seminar track will explore the home trends of "monochromatic," "neo-traditional," "well cultured" and "vintage ... with a twist."
The sessions for Lifestyle will cover visual merchandising and design trends, and will include an appearance by lifestyle authors Susan Spungen, Kathryn Petras and Jennifer S. Holland. The New seminars will address technology, online marketing and social media.
