WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.-Former NBA player Eric "Sleepy" Floyd has signed an agreement to become brand ambassador for basic-bedding resource Comfort Revolution.

Floyd will represent the brand in key promotions and work to build awareness of the benefits of a good night's sleep among professional athletes, youth groups, businesses and other organizations. Comfort Revolution said in a statement that it is currently developing Floyd's marketing and promotional schedule for 2013. He played as a point guard in 13 NBA seasons with the (then) New Jersey Nets, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs, after a career as a player for Georgetown University.

Michael Fux, founder and CEO of Comfort Revolution, said, "We respect all that Eric has accomplished on and off the court, and believe he'll be a great match for a company whose hallmark is innovation. Besides, who better to talk about the value of a good night's sleep than someone whose nickname is Sleepy?"
