Intertextile Shanghai to Expand Show Area

SHANGHAI—The Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles 2010 trade fair has been enlarged from nine to 10 halls in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre here.

Scheduled for Aug. 24-26, the show is a key sourcing venue for home textiles. Retailers that have confirmed that they will attend the trade fair include Target and IKEA, according to a statement from Messe Frankfurt, owner and manager of the show. This year’s show will include a 40 percent increase in the size of the Taiwanese and Turkish pavilions—the latter of which will highlight brands such as Verdi, Vanelli, Demor, Elvin and Guleser, the statement said.

Along with Messe Frankfurt, the show’s organizers include The Sub-Council of Textile Industry and the China Home Textile Association.
