IFDA Honors Circle of Excellence Award Winners

       

       

NEW YORK–The New York Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association recognized the winners of its Circle of Excellence Awards at a reception held at the Union League Club here last night.

Receiving the award for interior design was Charles Pavarini III, owner of Charles Pavarini III Design Associates. For product design/development, the winner was Stark Carpet, represented by John S. Stark, the company’s chairman. Benjamin Moore & Co.—represented by Ray Gomez, director of color marketing—received the award for retailer/to-the-trade resource.

The green-achievement award went to Steelcase Inc., represented by Angela Nahikian, director of global environmental sustainability. The award winner for education was The Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, represented by Bill Moggridge, the museum’s director. The media award went to Cindy Allen, editor-in-chief of Interior Design magazine.

The special humanitarian award was given to Kenneth Wampler, founding director of The Alpha Workshops.
