ATLANTA-Home Source International is building a 300,000 square-foot facility in Marianna, Fla., which is slated to open this summer.
The new factory will perform cut-and-sew operations for home textiles and produce furniture and lighting to support the company’s recent acquisition, Shiner International. A Home Source statement said this facility will offer better servicing to its retail and hospitality customers, better lead times, quicker turnaround, smaller minimums and more flexible supply-chain logistics and replenishment.
Supporting U.S. manufacturing is another goal of the new plant, said Keith Sorgeloos, Home Source’s president and CEO. “We are proud to once again bring ‘Crafted with Pride in the USA’ back to these industries, as well as the people who once earned their living manufacturing home textiles and furnishings,” Sorgeloos said.
Gov. Rick Scott of Florida said Home Source’s choice of Marianna for the facility “shows that Florida possesses the talent, resources and business climate to encourage companies to expand and create jobs in our state.”
