WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–GLM said it will expand Surtex for next year’s show, which will mark the 25th anniversary of the event.
The company plans to expand the exhibit area for next year’s show to accommodate about 300 exhibitors, up from the nearly 250 companies that exhibited at this year’s show. According to Penny Sikalis, vice president and the show’s manager, GLM will ramp up activities and amenities in the months leading up to show. “As news develops, early exhibitors and registrants will receive breaking show information, including details about new on-site amenities now being developed,” Sikalis said in a statement.
This May’s Surtex racked up about 6,000 attendees from 41 countries. “And we expect those numbers to increase as the global economy continues to improve,” Sikalis said. She said GLM has already received requests for exhibitor space for the 2011 show, and urged potential exhibitors to apply early for space at surtex.com, the show’s Web site.
