NEW YORK-More than $100,000 was raised at Gift for Life's recent Kings & Queens Casino night, which was held Jan. 31 and attended by 250 gift and home industry representatives.
Besides playing casino type games, attendees also had the chance to win such prizes as a Sonoma Valley Wine Tour from Alexander Valley Vineyards, Dry Creek Vineyard and Murphy-Goode Winery; gift certificates from Archipelago Botanicals, A Simple Touch Spa, and ICU Eyewear; and premium seats to Yankees and Mets games, among other prizes. A charitable organization for the gift, stationery and home decor industries, Gift for Life raises funds for DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS.
"This year's event focused on fun and games as well as the chance to meet and greet across the industry," said Jenny Hammons, Gift for Life chairperson. "To date we have raised more than $4 million for HIV/AIDS research and assistance through the generous help of partners and party attendees. We look forward to seeing everyone in January 2011."
