WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-The 2013 winter edition of the New York International Gift Fair will feature expansions in several category areas.
The largest growth will be seen in the New York’s Newest section, which will total 250 exhibitors, according to a statement from GLM, NYIGF’s owner and manager. The Handmade Global Design will raise its exhibit space by 5 percent, and will showcase 150 global resources of handcrafted products. Artisan Resource, which debuted during the summer show, will more than double its space for the winter show at Pier 92 to 9,000 square feet.
NYIGF’s Tabletop & Housewares division will also enlarge with a number of exhibitors from the summer Gourmet Housewares Show, including Aladdin, DKB, Joseph Joseph, Lifetime Brands, Nespresso and Oggi. Christian Falkenberg, the show’s director and GLM vice president, said many suppliers that exhibited at the summer Gourmet Show “are seeking year-round exposure” to Gift Fair attendees by exhibiting at the winter show.
GLM said the At Home division and EX*TRACTS are both sold out for the winter show.
