LONDON–Designers Guild has taken showroom space at 230 Fifth Ave., New York City, and has named Oliver Newman vice president of U.S. sales.
Measuring 1,400 square feet, the showroom is in room 1308, and will feature the company’s bed linens, towels, blankets, throw cushions, rugs and home accessories. It will also serve as Designers Guild’s U.S. headquarters. The company also showcases its fabric and wallpaper collections at the D&D Building in New York City, and has showroom presences in Atlanta, Dallas and Chicago through alliances with sales-representative organizations.
Formerly president of Welspun’s Christy unit, Newman is now responsible for the U.S. sales of its bed, bath and accessories lines. He reports directly to Simon Jeffreys, group CEO of Designers Guild.
