NEW YORK–This year proved to be a strong one for the 7 W New York showroom building, with “record-setting attendance” at three markets, according to a statement from the building.
The building hosted more than 20,000 buyers from big-box retailers, independent specialty stores and off-price retailers at the 2011 markets, the statement said. Also, more than 100,000 visitors attended various trade and consumer events held in its 11th floor event space.
The year “was a refreshing year on many levels,” said Chris Collins, 7 W New York’s vice president and general manager. “Although we are still faced with challenging economic conditions and our industries continue to experience changes, we were still able to take some giant steps forward.”
The fact that 2011 finished with “robust” markets will provide more fuel to the building’s growth in the New Year, Collins said. “As we turn the page to 2012, we look forward to further business development and advancement,” he said.
