Sales Excellence Recognized by Pride Family Brands

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.-Pride Family Brands awarded Tom Durden Top Salesman of the Year, also known as the President’s Award, among two other sales people recognized by the outdoor furniture company for outstanding performance.  

Durden, who represents Pride in the Midwest, began working for the company in 2002, and “exhibited overall excellence in customer service, superior product knowledge, and territory and customer sales growth of the company’s Castelle product brand,” the company said in a statement. Durden also was recognized with the award for the Specialty Representative of the Year for the company’s Summer Winds brand stemming from his expanded sales of the product to major retailers.

Brad Elliot—Pride Family Brands’ patio specialty representative for Georgia, North and South Carolina—was recognized with the Pioneer Award for tallying the highest percentage increase in new customer development within his territory in 2015. Elliott, with the company 10 years, noted the company’s High Point showroom addition and the focus on the design trade helped him achievfe his sales growth.

Greg Kavoklis was recognized with the 2015 Most Improved Territory Award. Representing the California and Hawaii region, Kavoklis’ award comes as he completes his first year with the company where he drove a 57 percent increase in sales over prior year territory sales.

The awards, which were given out during a function held in the company’s Merchandise Mart showroom during the Casual Furniture Market last month, were presented by CEO Steve Lowsky and Rory Rehmert, senior vice president of sales and marketing.

“As Pride experienced another year of tremendous growth, we are proud to recognize those that make it possible,” said Rehmert. “Within our team of professionals is a wealth of product expertise, overall market knowledge and a focus on growth that has contributed to the successes we recognize.”
