Lenox Partners with Scalamandre

Lenox has teamed with decorative fabric and wall covering manufacturer Scalamandre on an extensive new tabletop collection that showcases Scalamandre's bold designs across several categories.

The collection, unveiled at last month's Tabletop Show in New York, encompasses dinnerware, flatware, giftware such as picture frames, and barware. The signature collection is called Zebra, reflecting one of Scalamandre's iconic designs--a leaping zebra on a bold red background--on an accent plate and other design motifs from the bold red, white and black pattern on the main dinnerware and serveware pieces.

There are three other formal dinnerware patterns: Stravagante, a bright floral pattern incorporating ribbons and butterflies on a black background; Love Birds, a more muted, tone-on-tone design with a subtle bird motif; and Bouvier, a blue and pink floral on a taupe background adapted from an 18th century French design. It was a favorite of Jacqueline Kennedy.

On the casual end, there is Toile Tale, a Chinoisierie landscape of flowers, fretwork, figures, pagodas and parasols in seven colorways.

In addition, there are three flatware patterns designed to coordinate with any of the new dinnerware patterns.

"Scalamandre represents the pinnacle of taste and tradition with unapologetic elegance and its distinctive blend of the classic and the new is as timeless as it is fresh," said Lester Gribetz, president of Lenox.
