Room & Board Opens Second NYC Store

RoomAndBoard_logo2013NEW YORK-Room & Board, the Minneapolis-based retailer that specializes in modern, American-made furniture, opened a store in New York's Chelsea neighborhood on Saturday.

The 48,000-square-foot store at 235 West 18th Street is the company's second store in Manhattan. The chain's other New York store is in Soho.

The new store is located in the original Siegel Cooper Company warehouse, which was built in 1902. It was formerly Barney's New York CO-OP, site of Barney's biannual warehouse sale.

"This showroom is our biggest location in New York City and houses our entire collection of modern furniture and accessories," the company said in a statement.
