Keurig Becomes Exclusive Maker of Harris Teeter K-Cups
WATERBURY, Vt.-Keurig Green Mountain has become the exclusive manufacturer of Harris Teeter-branded K-Cup packs for its Keurig brewing system.
Financial terms of the agreement between Keurig and the southern department-store chain were not disclosed. The new line of K-Cups is available now at Harris Teeter stores and on harristeeter.com. It is launching with an assortment of coffees, and all Harris Teeter K-Cup packs will be marked with the Keurig Brewed seal, which--according to a Keurig statement--indicates that the product has passed rigorous testing that assures quality, taste and integrity.
John Whoriskey, president of Keurig's U.S. sales and marketing, said, "The combination of Harris Teeter's reputation for offering an excellent selection of high-quality products at a good value, and our unparalleled expertise for delivering superior products for our Keurig system is a clear win for Keurig brewer users around the (southern) region."
