GHTA Conference Includes Give-Back Event, Tracks
MARIETTA, Ga.--The Gift and Home Trade Association's upcoming conference in San Diego, scheduled for Oct. 2-5, will include tracks for the first time, focusing content for attendees, as well as a chance to support the organization Wounded Warriors.
The conference begins with its Give Back event, which includes a trip to the 92-year-old Bates Nut Farm for a fall harvest tour, breakout sessions and the opportunity to help host Wounded Warriors Day by preparing and serving food and visiting with guests. GHTA attendees are also welcome to donate 200 small products for gift bags for the Wounded Warriors guests; contact GHTA for more information.
In addition, this year's conference will have tracks, where for one day the conference will focus content for one common audience. They include tracks for executives, marketing, vendors and agencies. Other events include an industry leadership panel moderated by Ideation's Tom Ungrodt and featuring Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, founder of Vera Bradley; Doug Cofiell, CEO of Ivystone; Marcia Miller, CEO of MudPie; and Jeff Portman, chief operating officer of AmericasMart. Marketing expert Pam Danziger will also present a seminar called "Declaration of Independents: The State of the Independent Retailer Today. In addition, there is a Gift for Life golf event on Oct. 5.
