Electrolux to Consolidate North American Operations in Charlotte
CLEVELAND-Electrolux has chosen Charlotte, N.C., for its new North American headquarters location, and will move a number of its U.S. corporate office operations to that city beginning next summer.
The new headquarters will encompass Electrolux's Major Appliances North America headquarters (excluding the customer-care center), now in Augusta, Ga.; Electrolux International Sales in Pittsburgh; Electrolux Holding Co. here; Electrolux Major Appliances finance support in Columbus, Ohio; Electrolux Major Appliances accounts payable in Springfield, Tenn.; Electrolux Major Appliances North America industrial design in Anderson, S.C.; and Electrolux Major Appliances North America sales and finance in Huntersville, N.C.
Other U.S. Electrolux operations will move to the new headquarters as well, with the timing dependent on these functions' individual needs, according to an Electrolux statement.
Hans Straberg, president and chief executive officer of Electrolux Group, said locating these operations under one roof "allows us to take advantage of synergies and improve coordination among these related businesses and functional areas."
