Calvin Klein Home Launches Top-Tier Collection
NEW YORK-Calvin Klein Home has introduced a new collection of products that is being positioned as its highest luxury tier in the home line.
Called the Calvin Klein Collection, the line encompasses bedding, tabletop, and accessories such as fabric and home fragrances. The bedding consists of three ensembles: Eden, a design combining woven jacquard, matelasse and Swiss dot inspired by antique linens; Chalet, crafted from washed linen, woven cotton, cashmere, alpaca and shearling; and Perry, inspired by menswear and made with heathered melange yarns, silk and a geometric jacquard. Pricing for duvets in the bedding ranges from $700 to $780.
The tabletop portion includes dinnerware in two patterns: Mercer, a straightforward and minimalist design; and Georgica, crafted with Japanese glazed porcelain and available in black or white. In glassware and barware, Hampshire includes white and red wine glasses, champagne flutes and highball, single and double old-fashioned glasses. Nova offers an architectural look with structured red and white wine glasses. Also in tabletop, Ellipse is a set of flatware, serveware and a canape knife set with clean lines and slender rounded handles.
Bentley Hardwick, vice president and managing director of Calvin Klein Home, said the Calvin Klein Collection is being targeted at independent specialty stores and small boutiques that buy edited collections. The tabletop line first appeared at retail earlier this month, while the bedding is slated for an April 1 launch, Hardwick said.
