Target to Open 20 Additional Canadian Stores

TargetMISSISSAUGA, Ontario-Target has slated the opening of 20 additional stores across Canada from July 16-30.

The new stores will push Target’s Canadian store count to 68, past the halfway point of the retailer’s goal to open 124 Canadian locations in 2013. The new locations include two in British Columbia, two in Alberta, three in Saskatchewan and 13 in Ontario.

Tony Fisher, president of Target Canada, said, “After opening stores in Ontario and western Canada, we’re excited to bring the unique Target brand shopping experience to additional locations in these markets, and to welcome our first guests in Saskatchewan.”
