Senior Management Changes at Yankee Candle

       

       

SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass.– Gregory W. Hunt is resigning as executive vice president, finance and chief financial officer for The Yankee Candle Company, effective May 15, the company said. Hunt, who joined Yankee Candle in 2010, is leaving to join a leading New York-based financial services firm.

Lisa M. McCarthy will succeed Hunt. McCarthy joined Yankee Candle in 2004 and most recently served as vice president, finance and controller.

Harlan Kent, Yankee CEO, credited Hunt with helping to lead efforts to drive cost reduction and productivity initiatives “which have allowed Yankee to mitigate the challenging economic conditions of the past few years.” Kent also said that McCarthy has “demonstrated strong financial expertise and business acumen, superior analytical capability and a results-oriented management style.”

The Company also promoted James A. Perley to executive vice president, chief administrative officer.  Perley previously served as the company’s executive vice president, general counsel. Perley has been with the company since 1999.
