Rosenthal Celebrates Studio-Line Anniversary at Bloomingdale’s

NEW YORK–To honor 50 years of creativity by its roster of celebrated designers, artists and architects, Rosenthal’s Studio-Line brand is presenting a 50-vase limited edition collection in 2011, currently on display at Bloomingdale’s flagship store here.

While many of the models are timeless classics that are still in the Studio-Line’s current collection, some pieces were carefully selected and revived from the archives. This comprehensive collection in black and white porcelain begins in 1961 with two pieces: Ura by Tapio Wirkkala and Romance by Bjorn Wiinblad. The 2011 signature piece is Format, a new design by Christophe de la Fontaine. Other famous contributors include Dieter Mankau, Dror Benshetrit, Hans Theo Bauman, Martin Freyer, Timo Sarpaneva and Patricia Urquiola, among others.

Bloomingdale’s is featuring the retrospective collection of 50 vases at the 59th Street location, in the gallery located on the sixth floor, now through July 17. Price points range from $55.00 msrp to $845.
