NEW YORK–Reuters has reported that WWRD owner KPS Capital Holdings is in the “early stages” of exploring a sale of the company. WWRD includes the tabletop brands Waterford, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton.
Citing unnamed sources, the story said KPS is interviewing investment banks about a potential sale, “expected early next year.”
Neither KPS or WWRD could be reached for comment at press time.
KPS, a New York-based buyout firm, acquired Waterford, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton in 2009 after the Irish-owned company filed for bankruptcy.
