NEW YORK–Precious Moments, Inc. has added Elvis to its lineup of licensed brands, a co-branding effort that will create a series of Elvis product with a distinctive Precious Moments interpretation, the company said.
“This is the latest in our strategic plan to bring exceptional licenses into the PMI family,” said Susan Meek, vice president of licensing. “We are delighted to add Elvis to our licensed brands that enjoy an evergreen status – brands that have proven their longevity and consumer appeal. Elvis is certainly one of those brands, and we look forward to a mutually successful association.”
The new license calls for PMI to produce Elvis figurines, ornaments and waterballs. The initial roll-out is part of the upcoming June mid-year launch, with first delivery to retailers set for November. Three favorite and familiar Elvis scenes cast in porcelain bisque and handpainted. The 5.5-inch figurines are expected to retail for about $45 each.
