NEW YORK–Nine new showrooms will bow at Forty One Madison during the New York Tabletop Show, scheduled for April 13-16.
“I think it’s fair to say we are definitely seeing ‘the end of that thing called 2009!’” said Laurie Burns, senior vice president and director of Forty One Madison.
“Retailers are looking to position themselves for the future and manufacturers are eager to provide their customers with what they want. It’s exciting to see really new products introduced this spring, versus just a new color in a best seller. Our new tenants come to us from around the globe and will bring a new vitality to the tableware marketplace this spring.”
The new showroom tenants are:
Auratic USA, 14th floor: Retailers can look forward to a dramatic presentation of high-end color bone china, produced by using the most advanced porcelain and bone china production and state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment from its Shenzhen, China, factory.
Eisch USA, 15th floor: Best known for its Sensisplus Glass that enhances the taste and enjoyment of wine, the company’s high quality stemware is made from lead-free crystal and is distributed to gourmet stores, wine shops, hotels and restaurants.
Formation Brands, 16th floor: Clay Art, a long time Forty One Madison tenant and producer of hand-painted ceramic tableware and gifts, was acquired by Formation Brands in fall 2009. The newly configured space will showcase a new side to Clay Art with fresher, trendier designs.
Kinetic, 15th floor: Specializing in the design, development and marketing of high quality kitchen products, Kinetic draws on decades of experience by providing cooking tools that are durable, elegant and affordable.
Rogaska Crystal, 16th floor: Famed for its contemporary and traditional crystal designs, Rogaska Crystal will showcase gifts, stemware and specialty items including an introduction by Irish designer Louise Kennedy for Tipperary Crystal.
Signature Housewares, 15th floor: Returning to Forty One Madison, California-based Signature Housewares designs, imports and distributes fashion-forward ceramic tableware and kitchenware.
SJM Home, 6th floor: The new decorative glassware source specializes in mouth-blown, hand-painted, hand-cut and polished stemware and gift barware.
Tervis Tumbler, 15th floor: The company’s permanently sealed, double-walled tumbler continues to evolve and is now available in a variety of sizes with popular licensed artwork, wraps and fashion colors.
Zwilling J.A. Henckels, 15th floor: The company will present a wide selection of its premium tabletop and gift items, consistent with the brands’ reputation for excellence including flatware, cutlery, cooking tools, Staub cast iron and ceramic cook and serveware and Demeyere stainless-steel cookware.
