NEW YORK–The New York Tabletop Show begins today at permanent showroom building Forty One Madison as well as at 7 W New York, 230 Fifth Avenue and individual showrooms across the city.

Newly licensed collections from manufacturers such as Lenox, Gibson, Meyer Corp. and others promise to make a splash at this market. New interpretations of longstanding brands will also be presented, while overseas brands with a renewed commitment to the American market will put their best foot forward.

Key trends to look for at this market include the continuation of soft, feminine forms and softened edges, contrasted on the other side of the design spectrum by architecturally inspired looks. Vintage designs are gaining prominence, while visual texture remains a key design movement.
