Nambe Begins Search for President and CEO
SANTA FE, N.M.-In the wake of the pending departure of Bob Varakian, Nambe has started to search for Varakian's successor as president and CEO.
Varakian will leave the tabletop and home decor manufacturer on Jan. 6 to become group president of Lifetime Brands' cutlery/cutting boards and cookware/bakeware divisions. While the search for his successor at Nambe goes on, board member Wayne Badovinus and Angie Miller, senior vice president of sales, will manage the company.
Badovinus, is former CEO of Design Within Reach and Eddie Bauer. Prior to assuming her current role, Miller was president of Miller Rogaska and sales director of Reed and Barton.
Dan Hillenbrand, Nambe's chairman, said, "For more than 60 years, Nambe has focused on bringing the best design-focused product possible to the market, and we will continue to do so in the future."
