NEW YORK-Lladro has appointed Brent McDaneld CEO of Lladro USA.
McDaneld succeeds Alejandro Caceres, who served as executive vice president, and reports to Fernando Gallego, worldwide sales director.
McDaneld joins Lladro from Rogaska Crystal, where he served as vice president of sales and marketing for its American division since 2010.
McDaneld began his career at I. Magnin, headquartered in San Francisco, where he held a variety of positions during the course of 15 years, with responsibilities for all of its 32 retail stores. From 1995 to 2003 he was the vice president at Gump's in San Francisco. From 2003 to 2009 he held the position of vice president of merchandising, marketing and design for Baccarat Inc., the North American division of the luxury brand.
"Brent's background will be instrumental as we continue to grow our retail store network with our newest boutique location premiering later this year in the Design District in Miami," said Rosa Lladro, president of Lladro.
"Brent brings a wealth of cross-functional expertise and a true understanding of the luxury retail and wholesale market and its dynamics in the U.S." said Gallego. "His multi-faceted merchandising and marketing experience with luxury goods brands will certainly fortify our efforts as we develop the Lladro brand and image in the U.S."
"I am thrilled to join Lladro. The company is on a fast track with an exciting strategy. Additionally, the home decor collections of chandeliers and lighting plus mirrors and architectural elements in handmade porcelain is leading the industry and attracting a new and younger customer," McDaneld said.
