Lifetime's Simon to Retire; Bial, Mackrell Promoted

GARDEN CITY, N.Y.-Glenn Simon, group president of Lifetime Brands' tabletop division and a longtime industry veteran, will retire April 11, the company said, and two other tabletop executives, Scott Bial and David Mackrell, have been promoted.
Simon, a 34-year industry veteran, joined Lifetime Brands in 2007 as president of the dinnerware and glassware division, and was promoted to group president of the tabletop division in 2009. Simon was instrumental in growing and elevating the Lifetime Brands tabletop business during his tenure, Lifetime said.
Scott Bial, president of the Lifetime Brands metals division, will add the position of president of luxury dinnerware to his current duties, effective immediately. In addition to his current leadership on Lifetime Brands' flatware and metal giftware/serveware businesses, Bial will add oversight responsibility for the Mikasa dinnerware, glassware and serveware businesses and will report to Jeffrey Siegel, chairman and CEO.
David Mackrell, senior vice president for the Lifetime Brands housewares dinnerware division, has been promoted to president of housewares dinnerware, effective immediately. Mackrell will provide strategic direction for Lifetime's housewares dinnerware brands, including Gourmet Basics by Mikasa, Pfaltzgraff, Bombay, Guy Fieri and Nautica. Mackrell will also report to Siegel.
