TOLEDO, Ohio-Libbey has signed a 15-year lease to keep its global corporate headquarters at Edison Plaza here.
The company teamed with Mohr Partners, a global real-estate advisory firm, to negotiate the new lease. Libbey received an economic-development grant of $1 million for capital improvements, along with a separate $200,000 grant for work-force training. The company has also extended the lease of its Libbey Glass Factory Outlet store at the Erie Street Market here, and its lease with CAD Properties for the Libbey glass showroom here.
“By signing the new lease, we are able to keep Libbey’s headquarters in our ‘home town’ of Toledo, while supporting our recently announced strategic plan aimed at reducing costs and increasing productivity across our business,” said Stephanie Streeter, Libbey’s CEO.
