NEW YORK – Tabletop companies Lalique, Haviland and Daum have parted ways in North America.
Citing “differences of opinion regarding the strategic direction of Lalique,” Lalique’s parent company, Art & Fragrance, will repurchase a 49.6 percent share of Lalique from Financiere Saint-Germain at the original selling price.
As a result, Lalique North America will no longer manage the sales, operations or marketing of Haviland and Daum in North America, both of which are owned by Financiere Saint-Germain. The brands were separated in Europe by a similar agreement last month. The companies combined forces in September 2008.
Financiere Saint-Germain’s representatives will leave Lalique’s board of directors, and Art & Fragrance will run Lalique as an independent company.
