NEW YORK-The Museum of Modern Art has appointed Patrick Inverso director of marketing and communications for the MoMA retail division.
The museum has thus designated Inverso for the lead role in shaping the marketing strategy for the MoMA Design Store brand, and in developing programs to connect retail and wholesale channels to the museum. He oversees the creative teams across the catalog, advertising, merchandising and marketing categories, and works with museum curators to align the retail division with the museum’s overall mission.
Before joining MoMA, Inverso oversaw marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships for Google. Prior to Google, he was with “The New York Times,” where he played a key role in the development of its online subscriptions and launched applications with iPhone, Blackberry and Android.
