WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–The New York International Gift Fair will give out e-badges at the summer show, in an effort to reduce the resources required to print and mail traditional paper badges.

Beginning on June 9, all Gift Fair pre-registrants will receive their e-badges, which are personalized bar codes sent by e-mail, for the August show. To receive a paper badge, the recipients bring the bar code to any of the badge output stations at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center or Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94 in New York City, the sites for the Gift Fair. The e-badge is the result of what GLM, owner and manager of the show, described in a statement as “a comprehensive data-collection effort, through which NYIGF also obtained permission to send materials to registrants via e-mail.”

Gift Fair attendees can also register online for an e-badge through Aug. 10 at nyigf.com. The show will run from Aug. 14 through Aug. 19.
