At last month’s Tabletop Show Gibson made a good-better-best presentation that showcased its house brands as well as its marquee licensees.
Gibson Home and Gibson Elite reflect its “good” and “better” levels, respectively, while its Isaac Mizrahi and Nambé brands represent its “best” level of merchandise, each with unique packaging.
Gibson launched Gracious Dining under the Gibson Home banner, a moderately priced white porcelain line modeled after restaurant-ware. It’s an everyday core collection energized with interesting shapes and mixed materials. Gibson also enhanced its SoHo Lounge collection, also in Gibson Home, with new shapes and colors.
The second season of Isaac Mizrahi brings statement collections in three colorways—coral pink, denim blue and black—that mix and match and can be layered with each season’s introductions. New patterns include Floral Highline, taken from Mizrahi’s bedding collection; a deeply embossed eyelet design, a floral mix and a textured knit-like design. There is also a white bone china dinnerware pattern called Waverly. The collections are complemented by swirled color glassware and hollow-handled flatware with a floral design. An embossed holly and berry design is being considered for holiday 2013.–Allison Zisko
