Gibson Heads Back to School with Combo Sets
COMMERCE, Calif.-Gibson Overseas said it is experiencing strong back-to-school sales based on the introduction of its Gibson Home combination tabletop and housewares sets.
Thirty- and 59-piece combination sets, such as Total Kitchen, and dinnerware combinations, such as the Deluxe Essentials Plus Series, are experiencing strong sell-through with younger consumers looking for easy, convenient solutions as they head back to school or into new apartments, according to the company.
"The new Gibson Home packaging has a cooler, more chicly understated look that is right on target for back to school," said Grace Saari, director of marketing. "Parents and students both like the value pricing and the collection designs. Plus, they are definitely drawn to the updated gift box."
In addition to non-stick cookware, the smaller, 30-piece housewares set features a roaster with rack, cutlery and cutting board, measuring spoons and cups, bag clips and nylon kitchen tools. It retails for $44.99. The 59-piece cookware set adds a pizza pan, mixing bowl, salt and pepper shakers, storage containers, ice cube tray, and serving utensils, among other kitchen staples. It retails for $74.99.
The Deluxe Essentials Plus Series, a 32-piece combination set, includes flatware and glass tumblers along with matching banded dinner plates, mugs and bowls. The set is available in blue, red, and green at $30.99 suggested retail.
