WOODS CROSS, Utah–Candle Warmers Etc. has promoted Brett Heyland to the newly created position of vice president of sales. In his new role Heyland will direct the company’s in-house sales team to exceed revenue, sales profitability, and budgetary objectives.
Heyland will manage the sales department’s key performance indicators such as revenue against plan, projection accuracy, and gross profit percentage. In addition, he will advise on plans for key customers and provide leadership and capability across a wide range of business activities including strategic planning, target identification, and pursuing opportunities in key growth market segments. He reports to Chris Barnes, president.
Prior to his promotion, Heyland, who joined the company in 2010, was responsible for negotiating contracts with Amazon.com, BJ’s Wholesale, Hobby Lobby, and AAFES totaling $2 million in business, the company said.
“Brett has a results-driven track record,” Barnes said. “His attention to detail and energy will be invaluable as we continue to explore opportunities for growth.”
