Baccarat Names New CEO for U.S.

       

       

PARIS–Luxury crystal maker Baccarat has appointed retail executive Michelle Klein CEO of its U.S. affiliate, effective Jan. 3. Klein, who succeeds Michael Belleveau, will be part of Baccarat’s strategic committee and will report directly to Markus Lampe, CEO of the group, which includes tabletop, lighting, decorative objects and jewelry.

Klein has more than 15 years of experience in the retail industry. She started her career at Bloomingdale’s in New York in 1994, where she spent six years as a furniture buyer and helped develop exclusive Bloomingdale’s products across all furniture categories. She then moved to Atlanta as an upholstery buyer for Macy’s. She went back to Bloomingdale’s in New York in 2003 as a living room and casegood buyer. In 2008, she joined Roche Bobois as vice president of the North American subsidiary, responsible for the network of 30 Roche Bobois stores in the U.S. and Canada, the national marketing campaign of the company in North America and the supervision of the brand image.
