PRAGUE, Czech Republic–Luxury crystal purveyor Artel is assisting disaster victims in Japan through the sales of Sakura, part of its 2011 spring collection.

The company will donate 10 percent from the sale of all Sakura items between now and June 30th to the Japanese Red Cross.

In Japan, the Sakura, or cherry blossom, flower represents spring, symbolizes good fortune, and is the emblem of love and affection, according to a statement from Artel. “It is with these associations in mind [that we] proudly present the Sakura collection to celebrate Spring 2011.”
