CULVER CITY, Calif.-Showing in Building A, A-753, the Powell Company will show three new rug collections under its Bombay Heritage license at the upcoming Las Vegas Market. In addition, it will show its full line of more than 200 rug designs for the first time at Las Vegas Market, as well as its new rug catalog for 2013, which includes all rugs that are in stock and ready to ship.
The Bombay Luxe Shag is constructed of microfiber and comes in seven colors, which have multiple, space-dyed hues of a color spun together into a finger-like pile. Handtufted in China, it meets U.S. flammability laws. The target retail for a 5-by-7 is $379.
The new Bombay Heritage Le Soleil indoor/outdoor collection is UV protected for more than 300 hours of direct sunlight, and is stain- and water-resistant. With 15 designs, Le Soleil has a thick, high/low loop handtufted construction of polypropylene, with a polypropylene latex backing. Offering contemporary and transitional designs, the line will retail for $299 for a 5-by-7.
The Tapis collection for Bombay Heritage is a flatwoven group that features intricate transitional and traditional designs using space-dyed chenille yarns, backed by a latex and soft cotton, eliminating the need for a rug pad. Woven and handcrafted in India, a 5-by-7 retail will be $249.
"With the success of the Bombay launch at October High Point Market, which featured eclectic, transitional and classic designs of handtufted rugs from India and modified acrylic handtufted cut loop pile designs made in China, we've expanded our offerings to encompass the complete Bombay lifestyle," said Jim Ziozis, CEO, Powell.
