MISSISSAUGA, Ontario-Target has scheduled the opening of 23 more stores in Canada for this month and October.
The stores will be sited in the provinces of Quebec and Nova Scotia, along with additional locations in the Canadian capital of Ottawa and the surrounding area. Fourteen stores will open on Sept. 17, and nine will open on Oct. 18.
A Target statement said most of these new stores will feature a licensed Starbucks and an in-store pharmacy.
Tony Fisher, president of Target Canada, noted that the Quebec and Nova Scotia stores will be the first for the chain in those provinces. “Quebec, Nova Scotia and Ontario offer a variety of culturally diverse markets,” Fisher said, “and we look forward to serving our new guests and engaging with these great communities.”
