OBERLIN, Ohio–Walmart and Target are the top stores shopped by students for back-to-school merchandise, according to a study conducted by OnCampus Research.
Sixty-two percent of the surveyed students said they had shopped in a Walmart in the 90 days prior to the study, which was conducted from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31, 2010. Target came in second with the participants at 58 percent. Dollar stores such as Dollar Tree or Dollar General came in number three at 36 percent.
