HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.–Sears Holdings has named Raj Penkar senior vice president and president of supply chain.
In his new role, Penkar is in charge of all aspects of the company’s supply-chain activities, including logistics, warehousing, inventory management and distribution. He reports directly to Lou D’Ambrosio, president and CEO, and succeeds Jim Mixon, who retired at the end of April.
Penkar’s appointment is the most recent in a series of executive moves at the parent of Sears and Kmart stores. In the past two months, the company has tabbed Monica Woo as chief marketing officer, Robert Schriesheim as chief financial officer and Edgar Huber as head of its Lands’ End unit.
Before joining Sears Holdings, Penkar served as president of the customer solutions division at UPS. He was with UPS for 24 years.
