Neiman Marcus Moves Gold Over Merchandising in Organizational Reset

DALLAS—In a reorganization intended to merge the merchandising and planning functions for both its stores and online channel, Neiman Marcus has named Jim Gold president and chief merchandising officer of Neiman Marcus.

In his new role, which goes into effect on April 14, Gold will lead an integrated merchant and planning team for Neiman Marcus stores and online. He will report directly to Karen Katz, president and CEO of Neiman Marcus Group. Reporting to Gold will be Gerald Barnes, executive vice president and general merchandise manager for design sportswear, couture and furs; Jonathan Joselove, senior vice president and general merchandise manager for ladies’ shoes, handbags and accessories; Ann Stordahl, senior vice president and general merchandise manager for precious jewelry, designer jewelry and beauty; Russ Patrick, senior vice president and general merchandise manager for men’s, gift galleries, home and Horchow; and Lisa Kazor, senior vice president and general merchandise manager for Designer II dress collections, contemporary sportswear, intimate apparel, children’s, coats, CUSP, Neiman Marcus Ready-to-Wear and flash sales.

Gold has been with Neiman Marcus since 1991. In his most recent prior position, he was president of specialty retail.

In addition, Neiman Marcus has named John Koryl president of Neiman Marcus stores and online. In his new post, Koryl, who had been president of Neiman Marcus online, will also assume responsibility for the retailer’s store operations and sales. He also reports to Katz. Reporting to Koryl will be Neva Hall, executive vice president of Neiman Marcus stores; and Lindy Rawlinson, senior vice president of e-commerce.
